Baby H’s Nursery

Baby H’s nursery was a really fun project for me.  Now that we are in our forever home I felt comfortable putting a lot of time and effort into the room since I know it will be here for many years (versus the twins’ first room which was in a rental home….I knew we’d be moving so I didn’t do as much).  It was a fun project with a mix of custom, store bought, and DIY pieces.

Since we didn’t know Baby H’s gender until the day he was born I chose to go with a gender neutral green (Benjamin Moore #522 – Pleasant Grove), and then I have been adding pops of navy (still more to come!).  I’ve linked all the items below, but if there’s anything I missed comment below!

Both lamps and the rocking chair are family pieces, and the bookshelf and nightstand are old pieces from my very first NYC apartment.  The artwork over the crib I did with the twins – they helped me paint the canvases then I glued on a variety of ribbons and trims for texture.  The artwork over the sofa are all framed pages from vintage Mother Goose Nursery Rhyme books that I bought off Etsy.

I’m having some pillows made for the couch in a fun navy fabric with giraffes on it, and the chair is getting recovered in a navy/white fabric — all to bring some more pops of blue into the room!

I hope you enjoyed this peek into Baby H’s little world!
