My 2020 Goals

In the final week of 2019, my husband and I managed to sneak a few quiet moments while all three kids were sleeping to talk about the coming year – and we decided to map out some goals for ourselves.  We decided to set intentions in three categories: personal, professional, and charitable.

It didn’t take me long to come up with mine – BUT seeing as we are one month into the year it did take me a while to actually get my goals down on paper :). So without further ado… are my goals for 2020:

Personal Goal: To run the Philadelphia Marathon in November 2020.  Yes it’s a lofty goal considering I’ll be just over a year PP at that point, but when I began thinking about my goals for the year I knew instantly that my personal goal was going to involve running and fitness.  I spent almost the entire year last year either pregnant or newly postpartum and while I am extremely pleased with how fit I stayed during pregnancy, I am anxious to return to a training regime and sign up for some races. Since my favorite distance is the marathon I figure why not shoot for the moon.  I’ll see you at the starting line!

Professional Goal: To grow Multiples & Miles.  Being a SAHM is my dream job.  It’s what I always wanted to be growing up and I am so lucky that I get to have the career of my dreams.  I love staying busy with my kids and sharing those adventures with all of you here and on my instagram page.  I want to continue sharing the things we do, and provide inspiration and tools to other parents for ways to have fun and keep busy with their little ones. I will work in 2020 to reach and connect with more folks in this amazing community.

Charitable Goal: Get involved with a charity and a cause I’m passionate about. I’d like to find a way to give back financially and with my time – which albeit is limited but still I am committed to finding a way to do something.  We do regularly contribute financially to several charities and organizations (like our alma maters and various fundraisers hosted by friends and family), but I really want to find a cause that I’m passionate about to get involved with beyond just a monetary donation.  I’m leaning towards an organization focused around food and nutrition education – so stay tuned to hear more about that!

I’m really excited for the next year and I can’t wait to get to work achieving these goals.  What are your goals for 2020? How do you stay motivated to work towards them throughout the year?
