Last week was a lower mileage week – which was welcome after the haul of the previous week’s 32 miles.
I was thrilled to clock my longest stroller run yet on Tuesday – 8 miles! I was pleased with the pace too, even though I was slowed down a bit by the trashcans and general sidewalk clutter for the first and last few miles. All in all though, I got it done.
I had a busy weekend with family visiting so rather than running the 6 miles my training plan called for on Saturday, I went with 4 miles at race pace (and ended up going faster than that really!). I planned to do 2-3 easy miles on Sunday, but ended up taking another rest day which felt amazing. Hubs and I relaxed with the babies, we took a nice long family walk, and just took it easy. It’s been a while since I’ve done that on a Sunday and it felt really nice.
3 more weeks until my half marathon. Things ramp up this week BIG time…so hoping that rest I took on Sunday will help carry me through my increased mileages.
