RW Run Streak 2016 continues! I ran all 7 days last week, but I did start the week stronger than I finished it.
I took the twins for a great 5 mile stroller run on Monday, followed by 2 and 3 mile solo runs on Tuesday and Wednesday. I was excited to hit 10 miles for the week by Wednesday. Then I got busy and it got cold and rainy and snowy…. so I slowed down and did the minimum 1 mile each day for the rest of the week. I’m a little disappointed, but looking at the bright side at least I ran each day and kept the streak alive.
Saturday was particularly challenging when it snowed/sleeted in Philadelphia. The streets were a mess. I was nervous to go out because I didn’t want to fall, but I don’t have access to a treadmill right now (I should work on this before winter officially sets in), so I had to get creative. I jogged around the house — up and down the stairs, back and forth between the kitchen and living room — for 16 minutes. It wasn’t perfect but it got the job done!
I did find myself slipping sweets and treats into my diet throughout the week…. a cookie here, a candy or chocolate there. I loved every bite but believe me I am in need of a little detox break before diving into official Christmas celebrations.

12/18: 1 mile
